To-Sua Ocean Trench

Arguably one of Samoa’s more famous attractions the To-Sua Ocean Trench is an Instagrammers dream. To Sua means ‘giant swimming hole’. A 30-meter descent into the unbelievably blue pool via a wooden ladder with a platform at the bottom, is well worth it. Within the pool there is a cave that leads to the open sea.

Swimming around inside, looking up at the sheer, green-draped rock walls will definitely be a memory you won’t forget.  Surrounded by beautiful gardens, it’s the perfect place for a picnic. You can also access Fagaoneone (‘white sand’) Beach close by.

Highlights: The view climbing down the ladder is a real thrill and the water colour is astounding.

Opening Hours: Monday – Saturday 8:30am – 5:00pm. Sunday 12:30pm – 5:00pm.

Location: South of Upolu Island off the Main South Coast Road.
